Poppie's Shepherd Hut
Poppie’s Hut is the latest edition to Shepherd’s Lodge and we really did save the best ‘til last. Beautifully located, set back from the water’s edge with fabulous views of the lake, weeping willows and stunning countryside, Poppie’s Hut really does offer the perfect retreat. Guests will delight in a south facing aspect, fabulous views from all windows and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Decorated in an opulent shade of Obsidian Green by Little Green and with pretty curtains, blinds and cushions by Sandersons depicting chickens and roosters, Poppie’s Hut is a decadent sanctuary.
The sleeping area is luxurious, with a superbly comfortable double bed, crisp bedlinen, a flat screen, remote control TV, pretty wall lights and a window from where you can gaze at the starry skies and shimmering moon. For the romantics amongst you, the bedroom ceiling is fitted with twinkling star lights. There is even under bed storage.
The kitchen area is beautifully decorated with rich dark green cupboards and oak worktops. It is fully fitted with a butler sink with a fitted oak top to maximise workspace, a microwave, 2 ring induction hob, fridge with a freezer compartment, kettle, toaster and plenty of cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and, of course, quality glassware for your favourite tipple.
The en-suite bathroom has a full size shower cubical, lashings of hot water, a proper flushing toilet, a sink with underneath storage, a heated towel rail, soft, fluffy towels and a window with lovely views. Complimentary toiletries are also provided.
The living area offers a stylish upholstered seating area, a foldaway table, a cosy log burner and stunning lake views. Poppie’s Hut also has underfloor heating so you can relax in comfort whatever time of year you visit.
Regardless of the weather, our guests always want to soak up the fabulous views, the sounds of nature and the countryside air, so Poppie’s Hut boasts a private garden, that overlooks the lake, which is furnished with a picnic table and chairs, a Firepit BBQ with a tripod grill and a hammock. The stunning views and beautiful night skies can also be enjoyed from the comfort of your own private, wood-fired Hot Tub and seating area.

Bonnie's Shepherd Hut
Bonnie’s Hut stands on the opposite side of the lake to Herbie and looks out over the water with fabulous views across the Vale of Belvoir countryside to the left and with Belvoir castle in the distance. Bonnie sooths her guests with warm evening sun, stunning sunsets and the soothing sounds of the nearby waterfall.
Decorated in a cooling shade of Tuscan red by Little Greene and with pretty curtains and blinds with a gardening theme by Sandersons, Bonnie’s Hut offers a fresh, calming sanctuary for guests.
The sleeping area beckons with a superbly comfortable double bed, crisp bedlinen, a flat screen, remote control TV, pretty wall lights and a window from where you can watch the starry night skies or the morning sun rise. For the romantics amongst you, the bedroom ceiling is fitted with twinkling star lights. There is plenty of storage underneath the bed and a place to store the bedroom steps during the daytime.
The kitchen area is stylishly decorated with gorgeous Tuscan red cupboards and oak worktops. It is very well equipped and fitted with a butler sink with a fitted oak top to maximise workspace, a microwave, 2 ring induction hob, fridge with a freezer compartment, kettle, toaster and plenty of cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and, of course, quality glassware for your favourite tipple.
The en-suite bathroom boasts a huge, shower cubical, lashings of hot water, a proper flushing toilet, a sink with underneath storage, a heated towel rail, soft, fluffy towels and a window. Complimentary toiletries are also provided.
The living area has a comfortable, upholstered seating area, a foldaway table and a cosy log burner. Bonnie’s Hut also has underfloor heating so you can snuggle up warmly, whatever the weather.
As with the other huts, Bonnie’s Hut is also furnished with quality outdoor seating, a wooden table and chairs and a Firepit BBQ with a tripod grill so that guests can enjoy the stunning views and the clean Vale of Belvoir air. You can also relax and soak up the sights from the welcoming waters of your own private wood-fired Hot Tub.
All guests will receive a welcome pack on their arrival which contains tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice. One bag of wood will be supplied for the log burner and one for the Hot Tub. Further bags can be purchased on site if required.

Herbie's Shepherd Hut
Herbie’s Hut is nestled on the water’s edge and has direct views out over the lake. He offers the perfect spot for enjoying a morning cup of tea whilst sat on the front steps watching the ducks glide slowly past and the Moorhens dart amongst the reeds.
Decorated in soothing shades of duck egg green by Little Greene and with pretty curtains and blinds by Sandersons depicting graceful, wading Terns, Herbie is a haven of tranquillity.
The sleeping area is heavenly, with a superbly comfortable double bed, crisp bedlinen, a flat screen, remote control TV, pretty wall lights and a window from where you can watch the sun set or the swallows swooping gracefully through the sky. For the romantics amongst you, the bedroom ceiling is fitted with twinkling star lights. There is plenty of storage underneath the bed and a place to store the bedroom steps during the daytime.
The kitchen area is tastefully decorated with duck egg green cupboards and oak worktops. But the star of the show is most definitely your own private, wood-fired Hot Tub from where you can enjoy the stunning views or beautiful night skies whilst relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple.

Lillie's Shepherd Hut
Lillie’s Hut enjoys the perfect location, set back from the water with stunning views out across the lake to the front and far-reaching views over the countryside towards Belvoir castle on the right. Lillie delights all her guests with a sunny aspect, pretty views from all windows and the soothing sound of the lake’s waterfall.
Decorated in a stunning shade of blue by Little Green and with pretty curtains and blinds by Sandersons depicting playful chickens and roosters, Lillie’s Hut offers an uplifting, cheerful retreat.
The sleeping area offers the perfect place for a dreamy night’s sleep, with a superbly comfortable double bed, crisp bedlinen, a flat screen, remote control TV, pretty wall lights and a window from where you can watch the stars sparkle in the evening or the red kites riding the clear blue skies in the morning.
